Pricing
I use ABM Innova 18" and 26" long-arm quilting machines to machine quilt edge-to-edge or custom freehand and ruler, hand-guided quilting. There are over 100 edge-to-edge patterns to choose from or let me custom quilt that top you've worked so hard on. Contact me and let's talk about what's best for your quilt.
I charge by the square inch. In order to find the quilting charge, follow this formula:
Length x Width x Rate
70 x 90 x .016 = $100.80
Quilting
Thread
The thread charge is included in the quilting charge above to incorporate the amount of thread used for the size of the quilt being quilted. In essence, I have added $.001 per sq. in. for the price of thread to the regular quilting charge instead of chargeing a fee per bobbin.
Batting
You can provide your own batting or use mine. My batting comes in large rolls so there are no creases. You will receive any left over batting from the cut on my roll after quilting (great to use for small projects).
Binding

Turn Around Time and Rush Charge
Throughout the year, my quilting turn-around time will differ depending on demand. During the holidays, my turn-around time can become 3 to 4 months. Most of the year the turn-around time averages 5 to 6 weeks. If you require your quilt to be finished before the current turn-around time, a rush charge will apply to include finishing your quilt during overtime hours.
Ironing and Clipping
I may do a very quick ironing before placing your quilt on the frame for no charge. But, I must charge for time if I need to go above and beyond this initial ironing, if seams are not ironed flat or if threads have not been clipped. I will consult with you before charging this fee.

Protect your quilt by placing it in a plastic bag inside a sturdy box. A Busy Bobbin is not responsible for any damage during shipping by the postal service.
Payment Options
I accept checks (made payable to Kim Norton or A Busy Bobbin), credit cards, money orders or cash. I will notify you as soon as I am finished with your quilt and arrange to either ship it at a cost to you or have you pick it up. If I will be shipping the quilt, it will be sent as soon as I receive payment. Shipping fee can then be sent separately.
